Reinforcers increase the likelihood that the target skill/behavior will be used again in the future. To identify a variety of reinforcers, team members should consider conducting a reinforcer sampling. A reinforcer sampling helps to identify activities and materials that are motivating to the learner on the spectrum, which lead to a decrease in behaviors interfering with their learning or safety.
